Innovation is the Key to Make India a Developed Nation

According to Bharat Biotech International Ltd. founder and chairman Dr. Krishna Ella, the globe may currently be split between those who have access to oil and gas resources and those who do not, but in the future, the world will be divided into those who know and those who do not.

 

He noted that while World Wars I and II brought about the industrial revolution and innovation, respectively, the COVID-19 pandemic had produced several smaller innovations, such as the discovery of an HIV cure through stem cell transplants, the development by MIT researchers of a biodegradable and biocompatible bandage, and the use of drones to save the lives of those in Sweden who were having heart attacks.

 

Speaking to an audience at IIT Hyderabad on the occasion of its 15th foundation day in a lecture on "Innovations and Entrepreneurship: Indias Next Century Hub," he added that knowledge (education and skills) is also a crucial prerequisite for fostering innovation.
